Two matches in a day and both ended in goalless draws. The first match was the Maharashtran derby between FC Goa and Mumbai City FC while the second match was Kerala Blasters FC vs Delhi Dynamos FC.
Goalless draw can either mean that the teams were too weak or too strong. In this case the opponents matched each other's potential. In both the matches the ball kept on swinging and so did the possession. It is needless to say that the teams performed great, they all tried their best, the keepers were reflexive, set pieces were wasted; only if they had capitalised so and so opportunity. All these things are apparent.
So, in this situation, we are going to refrain ourselves from studying each and every move of all the players and instead give you a general overview of what the teams as a whole did.
Shooting from inside the box is a problem with the team. Zico should work on the basics of the players. Strong passes but fail to capitalize set pieces. Successful headers are a problem even with the international players. Good defence.
The team indulged in too many illegitimate and unnecessary tackles. They gave away set pieces that could have hurt. Decent passes. The players prefer to go for glory instead of passing the ball. Offside is a problem. Brave goalkeeper. Wayward crosses.
Strong Centre Back. Forward shot off target even when the ball was shouting to meet the net. Midfield is like magic. Defenders are flexible. tendency to commit fouls. maximum shots on target.
