After an interminable wait, Football junkies can finally thank God for the Indian Super League (ISL). Everyone is excited about this new prospect of their favourite sport. ISL, sponsored by Hero, is an initiative by All India Football Federation (AIFF) to elevate the level of football in the country.
ISL will be a top tier football league in India, running along the line of Major League Soccer in the United States. Reliance- Industries hold the exclusive rights to sponsorship, advertising, marketing, broadcasting and franchising of the League. Barclay Premier League will be the official partner of ISL.
Letting go of the promotion and relegation system of the world renowned Premier League, ISL will use franchise system on the basis of which a total of 8 teams are launched. Plenty of football legends from all over the world have also joined this effort of AIFF.
